The countryside was rather more interesting, with lots of pretty castles set on spectacular outcrops. En route to Raj National Park we stopped at Trencin, which is a pretty little village with a castle. We weren't able to roam the grounds for free, and instead had to pay for a guided tour up the tower - which had some great views.
